โก All the course videos are brimming with positive energy โก
I recorded this course straight after completing a 21-day intensive meditation retreat, where I meditated for 16 hours a day to embed all the subtleties of insights I have experienced. The 3 yoga sets that are part of this course were also each recorded after month-long retreats that I attended over the past 3 years. They capture the development of the practice and the underlying aspects of the energy generated in a continuous yoga practice.
This course is rooted in wholesome intentions to share the practice that has been so instrumental on my path.
I also teach at the Vipassana Centre in Thailand on many of their retreats. The experience of teaching large groups of people adds another dimension to my understanding of the needs of participants and has enabled me to develop an experiential know-how to guide to support people whatever their ability.
What Makes Insight Meditation Special?
The Vipassana technique is a meditation of observation, awareness and mindfulness. It is an ancient form of meditation which has been passed on through monastery lineages for thousands of years. It is one of the most simple, but most profound methods of meditation to be found.
There are a few different ways of teaching this technique. ย In this course, we will be following the teaching style practised in some of the oldest monasteries in the world. We will also be incorporatingย daily yoga sessions, specifically designed to prepare the body for sitting in meditation,ย building flexibility and strengthย so you can focus on your meditation without being overly distracted by physical discomfort.
The Vipassana method comes directly from theย Satipatthana Suttaย – The Foundations of Mindfulness – ย a discourse attributed directly to the Buddha. It isย a universal techniqueย which does not come with any prerequisite requirement of any religious or spiritual belief system. It is a beautiful and transformative technique which can be practised by those of any religion, without confliction, or by those with no religion at all.ย
Whatever form your spirituality takes and to whatever degree, there is room to apply this technique and feel the benefits.

All levels of practitioners are welcomeย
If you have never meditated or done yoga before, we will introduce you to this fundamental technique, which underlies all others. Equally, experienced meditators will benefit from this authentic practice, enabling states of deep consciousness and concentration leading to the progress of insights.
What Are The Benefits?
Essentially Vipassana mindfulness meditation is a system of exercises designed to train the mind, just as the gym is designed to train the body. Through this practice we learn to see clearly, to see reality as it is without delusions that can fog our mind.

Special Yoga for Meditators

The yoga practice in this course is specially designed for meditators who need a stable and comfortable posture. An effortless sitting position is crucial for meditators. Pain is destructive and not conducive to meditative insights. Yoga traditionally is used to prepare the body for the real work of calming the mind. It prevents problems with hips, knees and lower back during both the sittings and later in life.
A good posture contributes to the effortless functioning of our body which facilitates the main job in hand – the training of the mind for meditation.
With good posture, the body is well-positioned and comfortable. Poor posture increases physical stress and results in pain.
Restrictions in the body’s connective tissues reduce the range of movement and add to poor posture. These restrictions can be released through Yoga when working with the right muscles.
But what muscles do we focus on and what training is needed?
In this course, we dive into the Sadhama Yoga strategy and its’ 7 priorities to help take your practice to the highest level!

Vipassana Yoga incorporates mindfulness in movement to help maintain awareness, prevent injuries, and enhance both the physical and meditative aspects of yoga. By being present, joyful and relaxed, it is possible to create a safe and beneficial practice for people with different abilities.
Our comprehensive approach to your yoga practice addresses various aspects of the body and breath, aiming to support you in achieving a stable and comfortable posture for your meditation practice and everyday life.

“I reached the point where too many life difficulties and challenges started piling up, there was too much stress and anxiety I couldn’t bear it any longer. A retreat can give you the time you really need to disconnect from everyday life and see everything from a different perspective. After the retreat positive events started to unfold in my life, everything started to “click” perfectly into place. I started regular mediation practice, my marriage got back on tracks, my family relationship and work improved. I can’t prise the retreat and organisers enough, attending the event was a life changing experience. Dmitri, Karen and a team are really passionate about what they do and you can feel their love every single day of a retreat and I am so grateful for meeting them all and attending retreat.
